Assistant Technical Officer (Nutrition – CMAM) Job Opportunity
Are you passionate about improving community health and nutrition? FHI 360 is currently seeking qualified candidates for the role of Assistant Technical Officer, Nutrition (CMAM) in Banki, Nigeria.
This position focuses on supporting nutrition interventions, ensuring proper patient follow-up, and maintaining accurate documentation for effective program delivery.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
Keep patient records up to date, including CCP cards, OTP follow-up forms, and other files to ensure accuracy and track patient recovery.
Share essential health and nutrition education messages with program beneficiaries in line with established guidelines.
Collect and compile program data (such as admissions, recoveries, defaulters, absentees, and mortality) and prepare activity reports.
Contribute to nutrition surveys such as SMART, SQUEAC, and other local assessments to strengthen program monitoring.
Carry out additional tasks as assigned, ensuring timely reporting and communication of progress.

The role requires flexibility, as tasks may evolve based on program needs.
Any professional challenges encountered should be reported promptly to the Technical Officer, HNS.
Skills and Competencies
Applicants should demonstrate:
Readiness to reside and work within the Local Government Area (LGA).
Flexibility and resilience, especially in challenging environments such as remote stabilization centers.
Strong communication skills in both English and local languages.
Good interpersonal abilities and a team-oriented mindset.
Previous clinical experience (an added advantage).
Capacity to prepare clear weekly and monthly reports.
Adaptability in handling daily program requirements.
Qualifications
B.Sc. in Nursing with 1–3 years’ post-NYSC experience.
MBBS with at least 1 year of post-NYSC experience.
Prior experience in humanitarian or non-profit settings is highly desirable.
Solid understanding of Infant and Young Child Feeding (IYCF) in emergency contexts.
Ability to work with internally displaced persons (IDPs), refugees, returnees, and host communities.
Familiarity with local NGOs, CBOs, and Nigeria’s law enforcement systems is an advantage.
